A short summary about our airport
Located just 50 minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta, the Westlock Airport offers something for everyone! You will find paved and grass runways and taxiways, a heated terminal building, no landing or parking fees for short stays, 100LL fuel available 24/7 on site, and most importantly, a thriving airport community!

Circuits at Westlock Airport are non-standard, with circuits for Runway 28 being right hand. This places the downwind leg, regardless of the runway in use, on the north side of the airport, and reduces conflict with a skydiving drop zone on the airfield to the south of the runway. Join the circuit as shown above, or stay clear of the south side of the airfield altogether and join in an extended downwind for your respective runway.
The Westlock Airport is perfectly situated to give pilots the “best of both worlds”. As an uncontrolled aerodrome, you will enjoy the ability to go flying without worry about getting clearances or experiencing long taxi delays. But if you want to practice in a busier environment, Edmonton’s Class C airspace and the towered airport at Villeneuve are just 20 nm away. On any given day, it is not uncommon to see everything from ultralights, small certified aircraft, homebuilt aircraft, helicopters, and small jets making use of our facility.
Washrooms are available in our terminal building. You can also find a place to relax here, as well as our meeting area!
We have a card lock fuel system available 24/7 for 100LL (Avgas) so you don’t have to worry about after-hours callout fees. All major credit cards are accepted!
We do everything we can to keep our fuel costs as low as possible, with any profits going towards maintaining and operating the fuel system, as well as improving the airport infrastructure.
The Westlock Airport is jointly owned by the Town of Westlock and the County of Westlock, and operated by the County. The Westlock Regional Municipal Airport Advisory board provides guidance on airport operations and is comprised of representatives from the Town, County, and members of the public who are owners or leaseholders of hangar lots at the airport or residents of the county. Airport operations and maintenance are contracted locally – we take pride in our airport, and it shows!
